This is something I found on Hijrah To Algeria… blog and I just had to share…
If you want to find out whether you are close to Allah, this is the way:
Look at how easy or difficult it is to do different actions that are pleasing to Allah (reading qu’ran, giving sadaqa, qiyam, siyam, etc).
If you are so happy and take great pleasure at performing these acts, and it is easy for you – this is a sign that you are close to Allah.
If it is difficult for you and you find yourself making excuses, and it is hard for you and you literally have to drag yourself to do these acts, then know that you do not have a close relationship with Allah.’
As-salaamu’alaykum wa Rahmatu Llahi wa Barakatuhu my dearest sister,
Jazaki’Allahu khair for this post, much appreciated.
Ramadaan Mubarak! I pray your Ramadaan is going well so far.
Wa’alaykum as-salaam

Wa’alaikum salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh dearest Farhana,
Wa iyyaki! A belated Eid Mubarak to you. TaqabAllahu minna wa minkum.

Assalamualaikum,
Thank you for sharing.
Honestly, it is actually hard for me to do all these good deeds, but ALLAH knows everyday, I’m telling, reminding, and forcing myself to do them. Hopefully ALLAH will except my ibadah. As in my case, the difficulties, it is not a sign of not being closer to ALLAH, but actually a process of Jihad with my demon due to past misdeed. Insha ALLAH through rememberance of ALLAH, repentance and consistence, HE will help me. I shall surrender whole heartedly. Please keep me in your Dua.
Wasalam,

As Salaamu alayki
Barakallahu feeki for both of you sharing this is so true on both sides. Some times even if you are a giving person you may want to give but do not have anything to give(thats hard), some times all of these things are acts of jihad and may Allah bless us all and give us all tawfeek ameen i think the most important thing is that we want to do this and not we are trying and its easy for some or harder for others. Not everyone well feel the same. We know that its easy for some people to pray but we also know that some of them peoples salats are missed up and its not in there hearts to even do it. ya Allah protect us all from this ameen. What I am trying to say is that all we can do is hope that we are close to Allah and that he is pleased with us.
As salaamu alaykum,
Thanks for sharing. Great food for thought (and action)
